Abstract Submission

The Call for Abstracts for the AAVP 2024 Annual Meeting is now open! Please review the important details about submissions below and mark your calendars with the upcoming deadlines. 

Submission Deadline Extended: Wednesday, May 1 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. 
Author Registration Deadline Extended: Friday, May 10 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. 

General Submission Information:
As in previous years, the word limit for abstract text (excluding author names and addresses) is 300. Abstracts should be one paragraph and may not contain tables. Abstracts should not be hypothetical in nature and should contain reference to real data. The submission portal allows you to submit an abstract and make changes until 11:59 PM EST on May 1, 2024, so no need to wait until the last second to upload your abstract! You will likely find it easiest to compose your abstract in a Word file then, once finalized, transfer (cut-and-paste) the title and abstract to the appropriate text boxes. Presenters will be notified by June 4, 2024, whether their abstracts have been accepted.

Please remember, final acceptance of your abstract is contingent upon confirmation of receipt of the registration fee by May 10, 2024.


Catalyst Submission System Instructions: 
We will be using the same “CATALYST” system for abstract submission as last year.
Instructions for creating a submission:
If you have an account in CATALYST, follow these instructions below.

1. Click on the following link to create a submission: https://catalyst.omnipress.com/aavp2024
2. Click Sign In at the bottom of the page.
3. Enter your email address and password, then click Sign In.
4. At the bottom of the Home page click New Submission to create a submission.
5. Complete all the required fields on all the tabs.
6. Click Save on the bottom right of your screen as necessary. *If required fields are missing data, you will see the missing data tabs indicated with a red triangle.
7. Click “Submit” on the bottom right of your screen when you are ready to submit your abstract.

If you do not have an account in CATALYST, follow these instructions below.
1. Click on the following link to create a submission: https://catalyst.omnipress.com/aavp2024
2. Click Sign In / Create Account at the bottom of the page.
3. Click on the Create New Account to register an account.
4. Enter your email address, password and confirm password. Click Create Account. CATALYST will send you a “Confirm your account” email.
5. Click on the turquoise button in your email labeled, Confirm Account.
6. A pop-up will appear stating, “Thank you for confirming your email.” Click on Sign In.
7. Once logged in, at the bottom of the Home page, click New Submission to create a submission.
8. Click Save on the bottom right of your screen as necessary. *If required fields are missing data, you will see the missing data tabs indicated with a red triangle.
9. Click Submit on the bottom right of your screen when you are ready to submit your abstract.

All emails come from noreply@omnipress.com. To ensure you receive all communication, please be sure "omnipress.com" is added as a safe sender or have your IT department white list “omnipress.com.”
